Jul 1 River City Harley-Davidson, New Haven would
like to extend an invitation to all American Legion Riders and Patriot
Guard Riders to join us in our “Freedom Ride 2010”. It all happens on Thursday, July 1st
at River City Harley-Davidson Registration begins at 5pm and runs to 7:15pm, at that time there will be a color guard ceremony
and prayer. The ride will depart at 7:30pm and the police escorted parade will travel to Auburn,
ending at the National Military
History Center. There
will be a Free Hog BBQ and ½ price admission at the museum after the ride. All American
Legion Rider Chapters and the Patriot Guard Chapters will lead the parade with each
individual chapter in the front of the procession. If you have any further questions or comments, please contact me.
Thank you for your time and advance support. This ride is for all past, present, and future troops; and for our freedom.
No one should forget that our freedom is because of the sacrifice made by many brave men and women, the bigger parade, the
bigger statement we make not to forget!! I have attached a flyer for you to forward to all your members, please help

Aug 22/26 American Legion Legacy Run. The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund was created to help ensure children who have lost a parent
at war receive the education they need and deserve. The Legion Riders are among the fund's biggest donators, creating the
annual Legacy Run in 2006. To date, almost $3 million has been contributed to the Legacy Fund. Of that, almost $1 million
has come from the Legion Riders' Legacy Runs. The overall goal is to raise $20 million, to sustain the fund and fill the needs

Indiana is having its annual Ride for Autism. The ride starts at Wal-Mart on
County Line road (Ash Road) and Old US 20, Elkhart,
Indiana. Sign up is 8 a.m. until
10:45 a.m. Kick stands up at 11:00 a.m.
It is a 60-mile ride and will end at the American Legion Post 308 in Osceola,
Indiana. Cost is $15.00 per bike
